Turkey to Launch Türksat 6A in 2024

The first entirely domestic communication satellite, Türksat 6A, is set to be launched into space in 2024. This was announced by the President of the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK), Hasan Mandal.

'We designed and manufactured the satellite components ourselves. We will launch it next year. This will be a significant achievement for our country. Our nation must be independent, especially in areas such as communication, energy, and transportation. Without our own communication satellites, we rely on foreign ones, which means we cannot fully implement our plans,' emphasized Mandal.
