THY sold the most expensive ticket in its history

Turkish carrier Turkish Airlines said that they have sold the most expensive airline ticket in their history.

The price of the ticket was 81 thousand dollars. The ticket was purchased by an Iranian citizen who flew from Istanbul to Los Angeles and back.

The flight was direct, the passenger was flying in the Business-Class cabin Boeing 777.

Note that, the price of the cheapest Los Angeles-Istanbul round trip ticket is 999 $.
