Türkiye Sees 190,000 Increase in Registered Farmers Over Five Years
ANKARA – The number of registered farmers in Türkiye has grown by over 190,000 in the past five years, marking an 8.8% increase, Agriculture and Forestry Minister İbrahim Yumaklı announced.
Responding to a parliamentary question from opposition lawmaker Ömer Fethi Gürer, Yumaklı highlighted that the amount of land registered in the ministry's system has also expanded during this period.

2026 Agricultural Subsidies
For 2026, the government has allocated 168 billion Turkish Liras ($3.82 billion) for agricultural subsidies. All registered producers and breeders who meet legal requirements and apply on time are eligible for these support schemes.
As of 2025, around 2.9 million farmers benefit from assistance across crop and livestock production, aquaculture, rural development, and agricultural R&D.
