Data from the Turkish Directorate of Meteorology and international forecast models indicate that Istanbul is under the influence of a prolonged low-pressure system starting today.
The rainy period, which began on Thursday, January 22, with a 75% chance of precipitation, is forecast to continue through the weekend and the entire next week. Rain will be particularly intense in the mornings and evenings, with some areas experiencing heavy downpours.

No sharp cold spells are expected. During this nine-day period:
- Daytime temperatures: 7°C – 12°C
- Nighttime temperatures: 5°C – 8°C
Wind Conditions
Winds will be mainly southerly and southeasterly (lodos), of moderate strength, which may increase the intensity of rainfall.
