Bulgaria and Turkey will be connected by a high-speed rail

A new railway line will soon connect Turkey and Bulgaria. The process of drawing up documents for the new construction of the high-speed railway between the two countries is now being completed.

The high-speed line will pass from the Turkish Edirne and Istanbul to the Bulgarian Sophia, following through Plodiv.

While there is a discussion of all aspects, Bulgaria has already started its part of the work. At the moment, the country is modernizing the railway tracks towards Sofia and at the same time, the work is carried out not just with its own funds, but also with money allocated by the European Union.

The new high-speed railway will allow Turkey and Bulgaria to establish even closer cooperation in the field of trade and tourism.
