Antalya Sets All-Time January Tourism Record
Antalya, one of the Mediterranean’s most popular destinations, has started 2026 with a bang, recording its highest-ever January visitor numbers. According to data from Antalya and Gazipaşa airports, the city welcomed 234,037 tourists by air in January.
This marks a 1.3% increase compared to the same month last year, surpassing previous records of 231,000 in 2025 and 229,000 in 2024.
Visitor Breakdown and Key Markets
- Total Arrivals: 234,037
- International Visitors: 166,000
- Turkish Citizens Abroad: 67,000
Russia remains Antalya’s leading source market, sending more than 47,000 travelers, a rise of over 9%. This accounts for a significant 28% of all foreign arrivals.
Other key contributing markets included:
- Germany: Nearly 38,000 visitors (a slight dip of 3.5%).
- United Kingdom: 16,230 visitors (down 11%).
- Poland: 11,335 arrivals (a 13% increase).
