Директор Мирового Валютного Фонда Кристин Лагард, накануне выступая по американскому телевидению, дала положительную оценку Турецкой экономике. «Все мы наблюдали и переживали, что произойдет с экономикой Турции после неудавшейся попытки переворота, и все мы стали свидетелями, насколько финансовые учреждения оперативно и сплоченно сработали, чтобы не случилось экономического спада. Да лира немного упала по отношению к доллару и евро, но незначительно. И практически сразу вернула свои позиции», отметила Кристин Лагард – «Можно с уверенностью сказать, что меры по поддержанию экономической ситуации были приняты правильные».

Сегодня в Турции в штатном режиме работают все банки. Нет никаких перебоев.
