Turkish defense firms to participate in SIDEC 2025 fair in Slovenia

Turkish defense companies are set to take part in the International Defense Fair and Conference (SIDEC) 2025 in Slovenia, according to a statement released Monday by the defense and aerospace cluster SAHA Istanbul.

The SAHA Istanbul cluster will be represented by its member firms Aselsan, Roketsan, Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) and Sarsilmaz, under the Turkish Pavilion organized by the Turkish Defense Industries Secretariat. The exhibition will run from October 21 to 24, bringing together 165 companies from 19 countries.

As one of Europe’s leading defense and aerospace events, SIDEC 2025 provides a platform for promoting Türkiye’s industrial capacity and expanding its technological and strategic partnerships across the continent.

Within the scope of the fair, SAHA Istanbul will further develop cooperation with GOIS, Slovenia’s main defense cluster, following the memorandum of understanding signed in 2023.

During the event, B2B meetings will focus on joint production, technology transfer, and supply chain integration, reinforcing SAHA Istanbul’s industrial diplomacy efforts in Europe and supporting the export-driven growth strategy of Türkiye’s defense industry.

Road to SAHA 2026

SIDEC 2025 also serves as a milestone toward SAHA 2026, the International Defense, Aerospace and Space Industry Fair — Türkiye’s largest industrial exhibition, scheduled to take place in Istanbul from May 5–9, 2026. The event aims to attract over 120 countries, 1,478 companies, and generate a business volume exceeding $6 billion.

During SIDEC 2025, the SAHA Istanbul delegation will meet potential exhibitors, promote international participation in SAHA 2026, and discuss Slovenia’s potential national pavilion at the upcoming fair.

Additionally, SAHA Istanbul will carry out promotional and partnership activities for IAC 2026 Antalya (International Astronautical Congress) — a major global event that Türkiye will host for the first time in collaboration with the Turkish Space Agency (TUA) and under the National Space Ecosystem Committee (SAHA MUEK).

The delegation will also engage with European space technology companies to explore participation and sponsorship opportunities for IAC 2026.
