Turkey provides its medicines itself

There are currently more than one hundred pharmaceutical companies in Turkey.

At the same time, only seven of them are subsidiaries of foreign firms and another 21 are created with the participation of foreign capital.

Now, the country practically does not purchase medicines abroad and completely provides the population’s needs with its own forces. Moreover, some of the drugs are exported.

It should be noted that the production of any medicines in Turkey is under special control of the state.  The republic has very strict laws, you can go to jail for several decades for the production of counterfeit drugs. Therefore, according to the standards of Health Organization, only high-quality medicines are sold in the country.
