Turkey counted all the tourists from last year

The Turkish Republic summed up the official level of the tourist results of the past year.

According to the Institute of Statistics of Turkey (TÜİK), last year the country rested 38 million 620 thousand 346 tourists. And this number passed the results of 2016 by 7 million more tourists.

The tourism sector significantly increased and received an excellent income. Turkey earned more than 26 billion dollars last year.

The record number of tourists visited the country goes to Antalya coast. The coast rested almost 10.5 million people with its cities and districts.

According to the preliminary forecasts, this year the expected number of tourists will exceed up to 40 million people.
