Turkey Back on Top: Russian Tourists Rush to Book Summer Holidays

Russian tourists have started actively preparing for the summer season of 2025, showing increased interest in vacationing in Turkey. According to the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR), by the end of February, approximately 20% of all planned tours for the period from May to September have already been sold. This figure is 30% higher than the same period last year, confirming the continued popularity of Turkish resorts.

The highest demand has been recorded for tours in May and June, while sales for July and August are currently progressing at a moderate pace. However, tour operators note that bookings for the autumn months are already being made, indicating tourists’ desire to extend the beach season.

Why Turkey?

Experts attribute the rise in demand to a combination of convenient services, a variety of offers, and reasonable prices, despite their increase. In 2025, the cost of vacationing in Turkey has risen by 10-15% compared to last year, which can be explained by inflation, currency fluctuations, and the rising cost of tourist services. However, the early booking system allows tourists to lock in tour prices and choose optimal accommodation options.

For a family of three (two adults and a child), a week-long stay at a five-star all-inclusive hotel will cost on average 300,000 to 400,000 rubles, including airfare. For those looking for more affordable options, nine-night tours in June are available starting from 170,000 rubles.

Turkey – an undisputed leader

Turkey continues to hold its position as the top foreign destination for Russians, thanks to its well-developed infrastructure, convenient visa regime, and wide range of hotels. Resorts in Antalya, Kemer, Alanya, and other regions continue to be in high demand.

According to ATOR forecasts, active tour sales will continue in the coming months. It is expected that by April, bookings may reach 40-50% of the planned total. Experts advise against delaying the purchase of tour packages, as prices may rise closer to summer and the availability of popular hotels will become more limited.

Thus, in 2025, Turkey once again confirms its reputation as one of the most sought-after destinations for summer vacations. Those planning their vacations in advance can count on attractive offers and a wide range of resorts for a comfortable stay.
