An ancient pagan tomb, an altar, and amphorae were discovered in the Turkish city, Istanbul. The historical artifacts were found by accident during the restoration work of the ancient mosque of Sultan Suleiman.

The authenticity of the began grave has already been confirmed by independent foreign experts. Its age has not been established yet but it is known that it was built at the end of the Roman era. As for the altar, it was used for sacrifices and was partially looted during the Byzantine period. Also, the amphorae is from the Byzantine period as well, they were so valuable that they had to be placed under guard.

Recall that the mosque of Sultan Suleiman was built 1700 years ago.
