There will be no more studio apartments in Istanbul

In Turkey, Istanbul they will no longer build one-room apartments. The new master plan for the development of a megacity, prepared by the city municipality, includes a point and a change in residential buildings.

So, now the apartments must include a bedroom, a living room, a kitchen area, a toilet and a bathroom.

Another innovation will be the mandatory presence of an elevator in the houses, where there are more than three floors. Also, builders will have to pay attention to the height of the building: it must fit into the general concept of the built-up area and not spoil it with its excessive height.

Currently, the new rules are under consideration in the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Urban Development of Turkey, after the approval they will enter into legal force.
