There will be another airport in Antalya

A new airport will be built in the province of Antalya. This was announced by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey, Mevlut Cavusoglu.

Recall that, there are two airports operating in the area, the International Airport of Antalya and the Gazipasa Airport which is close to Alanya.

However, the air harbors of the tourist capital of turkey – Antalya, are overcrowded, especially during the holiday season.

Caused by this fact, they decided to build a third airport.

It is planned that the airport will be located in the Kas area, and it will be named "Western Antalya". According to Cavusoglu, the airport will be able to receive about 5 million passengers a year. The terms of construction are not specified yet.
