The Turkish peasants were promised herds and money to go back to the villages

The issue of urbanization of the population is acute in Turkey. According to statistics, at the moment, a bulk of people are concentrated in the cities: rural people leave the villages searching for work and a better life.
Therefore, the Minister of Food, Agriculture, and Livestock of Turkey, Ahmet Esref Fakibaba addressed the peasants.
In his speech, he mentioned that the Turkish government had developed a plan for the development of livestock.
“The work will be carried out under the motto “Do not abandon your village!”. Within the framework of the project, villagers who decide to return from cities to their small homeland will receive several hundred heads of small cattle, as well as extra money.” Said the head of the department.
He also mentioned that the state is ready to purchase form the rural population surplus livestock. According to the minister, these measures will help reduce the flow of internal migration, as well as provide work for rural residents.
