The population of Alanya increased

Over the past two years, the population of Alanya has increased by almost five thousand people. According to the Institute of Statistics of Turkey (TÜİK), now there are 299 thousand 464 people in Alanya.

Mahmutlar area is in first place with 35 thousand people, then comes Oba with 21,754 people and then there is Konakli where there are more than 15,800 people. Three of this areas are most beloved by foreigners who constantly purchase villas and apartments there willingly.

The least populous area is Kargicak caused by the fact that the development of the area started recently, there are more than three thousand people living there at the moment.

As for the two most popular areas of Alanya, -Kestel and Tosmur, both of the areas have slightly more than 9 thousand people living there.

Note that while counting, only those that have Turkish citizenship were counted.
