The Festival of Japan began in the capital of Turkey

The opening ceremony of the “Festival of Japan 2018” was held in Ankara.

The main events will be held in the Cultural Center of the Turkish-Japanese Foundation. In particular, traditional Japanese performances, Japanese movies, a demonstration of calligraphic inscriptions, as well as familiarity of Turkish festival guests with other aspects of Japanese culture are planned.

“We have a lot in common, there are many points of contact between our countries. We are not only alike culturally but we are also alike in the economic sphere. And there is a mutual sympathy between our people,” said the Turkish Culture and Tourism Minister, Numan Kurtulmus.

Recall that, next year, in 2019 will be declared the year of Turkey in Japan.
