The amount of housing sold in May was calculated in Turkey

Sales of real estate in Turkey continue to grow each month. So, according to the Institute of Statistics of Turkey, in May, transactions for the purchase and sale of housing was committed almost 3% more than in April.

In total, 119 thousand 655 real estate objects have been sold in the country last month. The city that leads the sales number is Istanbul where more than 20,000 apartments and villas were sold in the specific period. Ankara takes the second place and then Izmir takes the third.

As for foreign citizens, they also purchased a record number of properties last month. The 5 leading citizens are from Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Russia, and Afghanistan.
