At the beginning of the new tourist season, security measures are being strengthened in Turkey. So, a new service – Bekci, will begin to operate in the region of Antalya starting from June 1st.

Municipal guards will patrol the streets and public places. For example, 20 patrol officers who have undergone special training have already joined the service in Alanya. 122 guards will work in Antalya itself. The sand colored uniform will help you distinguish them from other security services.

Note that similar patrols already do work in other large cities of Turkey.

Also, in the capital of Turkey – Ankara, police patrols began to be on duty in 25 large shopping centers, this new service will be called "AVM Polisi". According to the head of the Ankara security department, Servet Yilmaz, the new service was introduced for more operational work. Police officers of T.C. have great powers such as checking documents, conducting searches and producing for detention.
