AIRPORT GAZIPASHA LANDED ITS FIRST SCHEDULED FLIGHT

The first plane with scheduled flight landed in GAZIPASHA. The construction of Gazipasa Airport began in 1991, and it’s first scheduled passenger flight was finally landed. Delegation of Alanya consisting of 66 people took off from Istanbul at 10.50 on the plane of the Bora Jet uçag? company and landed in Gazipasa Airport, and thus became witnesses of the historic moment.

From Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport, on Monday July 12, 2010 a passenger plane, owned by the Company Bora Jet 'Orhan' ATR 72-500 of 66 people type, flew. On the plane, there were President of the Chamber of Commerce of the city of Alanya Aydoan Karim, Assistant to the President Fevzi yuksekkaya, board member of Commerce Alanya Chamber of Mustafa Mut Balytkay Kerim Mehmet Ihsan Direkchi, Suleiman Kaya Governor Gazipasa Muhittin Pamuk Mayor Gazipasa Burak Ozgench Jam and many others including a delegation of MPs and businessmen, journalists, CEO of Istanbul terminal TAV Unlyu Kemal, a lawyer from Finland Vesa Zhuntunen, etc.

Being under the supervision of pilot Qadir Thacker and four other crew members, the plane was landed at 12.30 at the Gazipasha airport without any complications. Passengers and crew were greeted with flowers and national dances. As Aydoana commented: "The first landing was soft, the next target is the second runway" After the safe landing, President of Chamber of Commerce Kerim Aydoan expressed his happiness to be a witness of a historic moment in Airport of Gazipasa, which will promote the economic development of large cities of Gazipasa and Anamur

Operation of scheduled passenger flights was expected for 19 years, and that the company "Bora Jet” had all the necessary research done and started regular flights to Gazipasha. All of us were on the plane and became witnesses of a safe landing, and we hope that soon we will also become witnesses of how regular international flights will operate. Moreover, the decision to prolong runway distance to 2,600 meters was made.

 In the statement of the Governor Gazipashi Myuhittina Pamuk it was said that: "The airport has a very long history and we thank those who planned and realized this project. The development of the airport will be important not only for Gazipasa but for the entire region as well. We thank all who flew with us and we hope that other companies will also join us, like the company Bora Jet did.
