More than half a million weddings have been played in Turkey

The Turkish Republic summed up the number of weddings and divorces in 2017.

According to the Institute of Statistics of Turkey (TUIK), more than 569 thousand marriages were registered just in the past year. At the same time, the number of divorces in 2017 increased by almost 2% and amounted 128.4 thousand.

It is worth noting that most couples are divorced during the first five years of their life together.

Recall, according to a recent survey, the number of happily married woman is more than the number of happily married men.

According to the statistics, the age of the newlyweds has also become more significant. In the past, marriage was tied mainly by young people aged 20-22, but now, the average age of girls getting married has grown to 24 years and men to 27 years old.
