More than 200,000 people will work in the new Istanbul airport

In Turkey, work continues on building the third Istanbul airport, which will become one of the largest in the world. It is expected that the proceeds from the operation will amount to more than 70 billion euros. More than 225,000 people will find employment at the new airport.
According to Turkish Minister for Transport and Infrastructure Jahit Turhan, the airport will be able to carry more than 90 million passengers per year and make about 3.5 thousand flights daily.
The world's leading freight companies have already submitted their applications for the lease of space at the new Istanbul airport.
The official opening of the airport will take place on October 29th.
