More than 14 thousand foreigners received Turkish citizenship

According to the Ministry of International Affairs of Turkey, the number of foreigners who obtained citizenship increased.

Therefore, according to the information of 2016, 14 thousand 194 foreigners received the status of a citizen of the Turkish Republic. The office reported that the data of last year is still being processed. Most of the foreigners who became a citizen of the country are from Syria and the least is from China.

As reported in the General Directorate of Population and Citizenship of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Turkey, last year the law adopted a number of amendments on the acquisition of citizenship. For example, you can become a citizen of the Turkish Republic if you purchase real estate more than 1 million $ or invest at least 2 million $ in Turkish production.
