UAE residents can turn 13 public holidays into 45 days off

How to Turn 13 Holidays into 45 Days Off

With proper planning, residents of the UAE can transform the official 13 public holidays into 45 days of vacation.

New Year’s Break
Many residents have already planned additional days off on January 2 and 3, creating a five-day New Year’s holiday.

Eid al-Fitr
The holy holiday marking the end of Ramadan will begin on March 30 or 31. By adding April 3 and 4 as days off, residents can enjoy a nine-day break.

Eid al-Adha
In June, by taking an additional four days off, residents can extend their break to 10 days.

Islamic New Year and Prophet Muhammad’s Birthday
These holidays fall on Fridays: June 27 and September 5, respectively. Those with Sundays as a regular day off can enjoy extended three-day weekends.

UAE National Day (Eid al-Ittihad)
The National Day holidays on December 2 and 3 can be extended to a nine-day break by taking December 1, 4, and 5 (Monday, Thursday, and Friday) as additional days off.

These planning opportunities allow UAE residents to enjoy extended vacations without exceeding the official holiday allowance.
