Türkiye’s Exports to Spain Surpass $10 Billion for the First Time in 2025
Türkiye’s exports to Spain exceeded $10 billion in 2025, marking a historic milestone with a 10.4% increase compared to the previous year. The growth reflects strengthening economic ties between Ankara and Madrid, as well as sustained demand for Turkish industrial products.
Spain ranked as Türkiye’s seventh-largest export market, accounting for 3.7% of the country’s total exports. Despite ongoing challenges in the European economy, demand in the Spanish market—particularly for industrial goods—remained strong throughout the year.
Key Export Sectors in 2025:
- Automotive industry — $3.4 billion
- Ready-to-wear and apparel — $1.7 billion
- Chemicals and chemical products — $1.3 billion
- Electrical and electronics — $716.6 million
- Steel — $685.2 million
Largest Absolute Growth Increases:
- Automotive exports (+$907.6 million)
- Steel (+$61.5 million)
- Mining products (+$47.9 million)
Overall, Türkiye’s total goods exports rose by 4.5% year-on-year, reaching $273.4 billion in 2025—an all-time high.
“Exports exceeding $10 billion to Spain are a clear indicator of Türkiye’s strong and stable economic progress,” emphasized Trade Minister Ömer Bolat, highlighting the country’s continued focus on expanding foreign trade.
Looking ahead, exports to Spain are expected to grow further in 2026. This projection is supported by:
- Enhanced logistics networks,
- Diversified export portfolios,
- Deepening bilateral cooperation.
Analysts caution that this positive outlook remains contingent on stable regional and global economic conditions, without which growth targets could face headwinds.
