Turkish, Italian Defense Chiefs Meet in Rome to Discuss Regional Security
Türkiye's Defense Minister Yaşar Güler met with his Italian counterpart Guido Crosetto in Rome on Monday to discuss regional and global security developments. The visit highlights ongoing efforts to strengthen defense ties between the NATO allies.
Güler, accompanied by Chief of the General Staff Gen. Selçuk Bayraktaroğlu, was welcomed with a military ceremony attended by Italian officials and Turkish diplomats, including Ambassador Elif Çomoğlu Ülgen. The meeting began with a one-on-one discussion between the ministers, followed by expanded talks with their delegations.
The two countries continue to collaborate closely in NATO missions and the defense industry, reinforcing their strategic partnership amid ongoing security challenges.
