Trump Threatens to Destroy Iran’s Energy System in One Hour
Tensions in the Middle East continue to escalate amid ongoing military confrontations between the United States, Israel, and Iran. U.S. President Donald Trump’s statements about the ability to destroy Iran’s energy infrastructure in just one hour have sparked a strong reaction from Tehran.
⚡ “We Can Destroy Iran’s Electricity in One Hour”
Returning to Washington from meetings in Kentucky, President Trump spoke to reporters at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland. He claimed that the U.S. has the capability to strike Iran’s energy system.
“We can take out Iran’s electricity in one hour. Restoration could take 25 years. But we do not want to do this,” Trump said.
He added that the U.S. could also strike specific areas in Tehran, warning that such attacks would cause destruction making recovery extremely difficult.
These statements came amid ongoing military operations, raising international concerns about a further escalation of the conflict.
🇮🇷 Iran’s Response: “Darkness Could Trap American Soldiers”
Iranian authorities quickly reacted. Ali Larijani, Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, said such a strike would have serious consequences for the entire region.
⚠️ Important warning: “Trump said they could take out Iran’s electricity in one hour. If this happens, the whole region could be plunged into darkness in less than half an hour, and this darkness would create an opportunity to trap American soldiers trying to escape,” Larijani warned.
Tehran emphasized that any large-scale attacks could trigger unpredictable consequences and a sharp escalation across the Middle East.
⚔️ Ongoing Conflict Between the U.S., Israel, and Iran
The military confrontation has been ongoing for 13 days. U.S. and Israeli operations against Iran began on February 28, despite continued negotiations between Tehran and Washington.
In response, Iran has launched attacks targeting areas with U.S. military bases in the region, including:
- Qatar
- United Arab Emirates
- Bahrain
- Israel
According to Iranian sources, these strikes resulted in the deaths of numerous military personnel and officials, including Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Official figures reported by Iran:
- over 1,348 people killed
- approximately 17,000 injured
Iran’s counterattacks reportedly killed 7 U.S. soldiers and 13 Israeli troops.
🌍 Experts warn that further statements and actions from either side could lead to an even wider conflict affecting multiple countries across the Middle East.
