The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkey – visa free rules will continue!

Recently on the official web page of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs was a special announce regarding the claims, that Turkey will reintroduce visa requirements for 89 countries. According to the information on the different web pages, new visa requirements for non EU country citizens, approximately 89 countries totally, will apply from 01.06.2016.

The official response of the authorities - this information is not accurate. From the press release of Directorate General of Migration, Turkey has started a negotiation with the EU about the cancellation of Schengen visa for Turkish citizens. And new visa requirements for non EU citizens can be possible only in the case of Turkey becomes a member of the EU. This means, that information about new visa rules for non EU countries from 01.06.2016 which appeared on the Internet last days, is not true.
