March 8: Antalya congratulates flowers of 48 countries of the world

80 million colors were sold abroad in the province of Antalya, on March 8th.

Antalya is the main supplier of flowering plants abroad. This year, flowers were exported to 48 countries, most of them were purchased by the Netherlands and Great Britain. There were also sales to the Russian market, although this sector has not completely recovered yet. But Poland showed a special interest in the purchase of Turkish flowers - exports to this country grew by almost 400%.

The bulk of sales fell on red carnations, chrysanthemums, and gerberas. Also, foreigners bought a lot of tulips.

In total, on March 8, flowers were sold for 11 million dollars - export growth was 60% compared to last year.
