Loads of new housing was sold internationally in Turkey!
Over the past year, more than 1 million 400 thousand properties have been sold in Turkey. Of these, 46.8% or 659,698 units were new buildings.
According to the Turkish Institute of Statistics, the secondary real estate market is mostly interesting for local residents. But, apartments and villas in new residential complexes are mainly acquired by foreigners. As for the cities, most of the new apartments are being purchased in Istanbul.
Recall that in the past year, citizens of other countries purchased more than 22,000 properties in Turkey. In the top five, leading the sale and purchase list, there are citizens of Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Russia, and Afghanistan.
