Lake Van hosts flamingos and swans

The basin of Lake Van in southeast Turkey is currently hosting white swans from Siberia and migrating flamingos, amid unseasonably warm temperatures.

‘Some birds have not returned to their countries as winter is hot this year,’ said Lokman Aslan, director of the Van Yüzüncü Yıl University Wild Life Protection Center.
