Kuwait and Turkey on Tuesday signed a vast array of agreements and memorandums of understanding (MoUs) to boost bilateral cooperation in the presence of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, currently on a visit to Ankara.

The two countries signed memoranda on cooperation in the military field, Islamic affairs and tourism. The Turkish government and Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED) also signed a grant agreement for a response plan to the Syrian refugee crisis in the Turkish provinces of Gaziantep, Kilis and Sanliurfa.
