Istanbul counted all the monuments

They have decided to count all the monuments of historical value in 31 districts of Istanbul. The fact is that in the main metropolis of Turkey, a huge number of monuments of architecture and culture take place, but some of them are not taken into account anywhere at all.

The omission was decided to be corrected. Now, especially for this purpose, the city administration created a working group that will consist, historians, culturologists, and other specialists. In total, the group will include 38 people.

The number of historical monuments will be fixed, also, each of them will be entered into a special card file and will make up its full description. In mid-May, a tender will be held, which will determine who will be engaged in this important business.
