In Turkey, home sales to foreigners grew by a third

The sales of housing to foreign citizens increased in Turkey. According to the Institute of Statistics of Turkey (TUIK), in February of this year, foreigners purchased 32.4% more apartments, villas, and lands than the same period last year.

The greatest demand was for Istanbul and the region of Antalya. And, Istanbul housing was mostly purchased by citizens of Asian and Arab countries. Then, the Mediterranean coast was preferred by citizens of the countries from the past Soviet Union.

As experts say, the most popular properties among foreigners are apartments from new and under construction residential complexes.

Also, secondary housing is acquired mainly by local residents of Turkey.
