In the province of Kars, a historical monument will be restored

The ancient city of Ani and the ancient Cathedral will be restored in the province of Kars.
Note that the cult building was built in 1001 by King Gagik 1, and is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The cathedral was created many centuries ago, it was pretty dilapidated and crumbled. In addition, a part of t collapsed because of the earthquake that occurred 700 years ago. But this is still a majestic structure that attracts the attention of historians, archaeologists and of course local residents and tourists.
Now, the restoration work has already begun, the foundation will be reinforced at the cathedral, the roof and walls will be recreated. And also, a territory will be added next to the cathedral.
According to the director of the Museum, Necmettin Alp, archaeological research continues in the area, next to the cathedral.
The image of the cathedral will be restored exactly the same with the historical one.
