📍 Antalya, Türkiye – February 25, 2026

In the streets of Aksu, Antalya, a young artist is redefining what it means to paint. Alper Kocabıyık, hearing‑impaired since childhood, has been painting since the age of four. Today, his unconventional canvases are the dusty rear windows of cars, transforming ordinary vehicles into moving works of art.

🎨 From fine arts to dusty glass

A graduate of the Fine Arts High School, Kocabıyık has held personal exhibitions before, but he cannot resist the dusty cars he encounters in his neighborhood. With simple tools — cotton swabs and tissues — he meticulously recreates Istanbul’s iconic skyline, historical landmarks, and stunning Bosphorus views on each window.

✨ iconic İstanbul motifs — skyline, Hagia Sophia silhouette, Bosphorus bridges, and ferries, all etched into dust.

🗣️ “Drivers usually love it” — mother’s assurance

“Alper is constantly painting. He holds exhibitions and paints on multiple cars every day. When he sees a dusty car, he can’t resist. Drivers usually love seeing their car windows come alive with art.”

— Hafize Öztürk (Alper’s mother)

✅ no concerns — only appreciation: Although some might worry about the reactions of car owners, his mother assures that Alper’s dedication to art outweighs all concerns. Drivers are often delighted to find their dusty windows transformed into ephemeral masterpieces.
