The first semester of the 2024–2025 academic year has ended in Turkey.

The First Semester Ends in Turkey as Students Begin Winter Break

Approximately 20 million primary and secondary school students have completed the first semester of the academic year and started their winter break.

This year, for the first time, first-grade students received "Development Reports" instead of traditional report cards. These reports highlight their social-emotional skills and include recommendations for parents.

To enrich the pre-holiday period, the Ministry of Education continued the practice of hosting a "Final Activities Week," allowing students to participate in cultural and sports activities.

Winter break dates: January 20–31
Second semester: Begins February 3 and ends June 20
Spring break: Scheduled for March 31–April 4

This approach aims to balance education with personal development and recreational opportunities for students.
