Attention! New Changes for Property Owners in Turkey Regarding Residence Permits Based on TAPU
Starting from January 15, 2025, new rules will come into effect for obtaining a primary residence permit (RP) based on property ownership.
If the property was purchased before January 15, 2025, an expert evaluation will be required to confirm that its value is at least $200,000.
If the property is purchased after January 15, 2025, the $200,000 amount must be stated in the TAPU—no expert evaluation will be needed.
