New Airport Terminals Opened in Antalya: Capacity Doubled!

On April 12, 2025, the grand opening of new domestic and international terminals took place at Antalya International Airport. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan participated in the ceremony, emphasizing the strategic importance of the modernization efforts to strengthen the region's tourism and economic potential.

Key achievements of the renovation:

  • Increased capacity: from 35 to 82 million passengers per year, making Antalya Airport the second busiest in Turkey after Istanbul Airport.

  • Expansion of terminal areas: the international terminal expanded from 93,000 m² to 223,000 m², while the domestic terminal grew from 37,000 m² to 75,000 m².

  • Increase in aircraft parking spaces: from 108 to 176.

  • New taxiways constructed: to improve logistics and capacity.

  • Investment in the project: 850 million euros invested by Fraport-TAV.

Additionally, new buildings for staff and official delegations were constructed at the airport, and the VIP and CIP terminals were modernized. The surrounding area, including parking and infrastructure, has been updated to significantly improve passenger comfort.

These changes are aimed at enhancing service quality and meeting the growing number of tourists and international flights, especially during the summer season when Antalya Airport is one of the busiest transportation hubs in Turkey.
