Changes in Car Insurance Starting January 1, 2025

According to a decision published in Resmi Gazete, new car insurance regulations will take effect in Turkey on January 1, 2025:

Premium Rates

  • Taxis, buses, trucks, and trailers: 10% increase.
  • Other vehicles: 5% increase.

Insurance Coverage Limits

Property damage: 
per vehicle: increased from 200,000 TL to 300,000 TL, per accident: increased from 400,000 TL to 600,000 TL.

Medical Expenses

  • Per person: increased from 1.8 million TL to 2.7 million TL.
  • Per accident: increased from 9 million TL to 13.5 million TL.

Disability/Death Compensation

  • Per person: increased from 1.8 million TL to 2.7 million TL.
  • Per accident: increased from 9 million TL to 13.5 million TL.

Discounts for Disabled Individuals

  • Up to 20% discount on insurance policies.

These changes aim to enhance the level of insurance protection for vehicle owners and improve financial coverage limits in case of accidents and emergencies.
