Istanbul, 2026 – Istanbul is expanding its metro network with 23 new stations set to open by the end of the year, Transport and Infrastructure Minister Abdulkadir Uraloglu announced. This expansion will improve access to key districts across the city.
New Stations by Line
The new stations will be added across four lines:
- 🚇 Arnavutköy–Halkalı (Istanbul Airport line): 5 stations
- 🚇 Bursa Emek–City Hospital line: 3 stations
- 🚇 Altunizade–Çamlıca–Bosna Boulevard line: 4 stations
- 🚇 Gebze–Darıca line: 11 stations

- 🚉 Existing stations: 238
- 📏 Current network length: 445.6 km
- 👥 Daily ridership: 932,000 passengers
