Foreign vehicles will not be allowed to leave Turkey without paying tolls.

In Turkey, a ban is planned on the departure of foreign vehicles with unpaid road tolls and fines. The relevant bill was reviewed on March 13.

The new regulation concerns paid highways managed by private companies. Previously, drivers with foreign plates could leave the country without paying tolls. Now, all unpaid amounts will be collected directly at customs checkpoints without prior notice.

According to the proposed amendments, 60% of the collected funds will go to the state budget, while 40% will be allocated to the operators of the toll roads.

This new measure aims to prevent abuses and ensure a fair distribution of road fees across the country.
