Antalya AI Speed Radars: Fines & How They Work

Antalya AI Speed Radars: Fines & How They Work

New AI Speed Radars in Antalya: Fines Up to 9,268 TL

🚨 Antalya is launching a new stage of road control: a mobile radar system powered by artificial intelligence. Fines are issued automatically — avoiding them is impossible.

Antalya has started using a new-generation mobile radar developed in Türkiye and equipped with AI. The system scans up to four traffic lanes at once, reads the license plates of all vehicles — including motorcycles — and automatically sends violation data to the police network PolNet.

👉 The maximum fine for speeding now reaches 9,268 TL.

⚙️ What can the new radar do?

  • Measures the speed of all vehicles in the frame;
  • Identifies the make, model, and color of each car;
  • Reads front and rear plates, including motorcycles;
  • Transmits data in real time;
  • Works day and night, in any weather;
  • Detects not only speeding but also wanted vehicles, duplicate plates, and cars banned from driving.

🎯 Why is it being implemented?

According to Antalya officials:

  • 50% of fatal accidents are caused by speeding;
  • In 2024, 6,351 people died in traffic accidents in Türkiye;
  • In Antalya — 93 deaths.

Police emphasize: the goal is safety, not fines.

👮‍♂️ What do officers say?

“The system records everything. No car and no motorcycle plate escapes detection. This makes control more accurate and faster,” traffic police officers note.

The radar is installed in areas with frequent accidents and on busy highways.
