New E-Scooter Restrictions in Alanya

The authorities in Alanya have introduced new regulations for electric scooters, which have increasingly become a problem on the city's streets in recent years. The main goal is to ensure pedestrian safety and restore order in the city center.

💡 Important: These regulations are already in effect and apply to all scooter owners in Alanya. Violating the new rules may result in fines and restricted access to scooters.

Key Changes

🛑 No-scooter zones

  • Scooters are now completely banned on Alanya Kale Yolu and on narrow sidewalks with heavy pedestrian traffic.
  • These areas are designated as "red zones" — scooters are not allowed to pass.

⚡ Speed limit

  • All electric scooters will be electronically limited to 12 km/h to reduce the risk of accidents and make riding safer for everyone.

🅿️ Designated parking only

  • Official scooter parking stations will be introduced across the city.
  • Scooters left outside these stations will be subject to significant fines to prevent clutter and obstruction for pedestrians.

🚶 Pedestrian protection

  • The new measures aim to protect tourists and residents, who have often faced dangerous scooter riding on sidewalks and in crowded areas.

Summary of New Rules

  • 🚫 No-go zones: Kale Yolu and narrow pedestrian-heavy sidewalks
  • 📏 Speed cap: 12 km/h electronically enforced
  • 📍 Parking: Designated stations only, fines for violations
  • 👥 Priority: Pedestrian safety first
⚠️ Warning: Violating the new rules may result in fines and restricted access to scooters. All scooter owners must comply immediately.
