Starting from April 1, electricity and gas bills in Turkey will change, bringing more transparency in calculations.

Starting from April 1, electricity and natural gas bills in Turkey will be issued under a new system. The bills will now show the actual cost of consumed resources, the amount of government support, and the total amount payable.

This change applies only to residential properties – commercial properties will remain outside the system.

Government support includes:
? Electricity – Subscribers consuming less than 417 kWh per month receive a subsidy: 60% for low consumption levels and 40% for high consumption levels.
? Natural gas – The government covers 65% of the cost.

This update will enhance transparency in billing and allow residents of Turkey to see the real cost of energy resources and the benefits provided.
