New Medical Insurance Rules for Foreigners in Turkey

Starting from April 1, 2025, new medical insurance conditions for foreign nationals will come into effect in Turkey. Now, policyholders will be able to receive medical services not only in private hospitals but also in public hospitals that have agreements with insurance companies.

One of the key changes will be the increase in the limit for medical consultations: from 5000 TL to 15,000 TL per year. However, this will also be accompanied by an expected rise in the cost of insurance policies.

Experts advise foreign nationals to arrange or renew their medical insurance in advance to avoid potential price hikes and ensure access to quality healthcare services.
