Export of olive oil increased by 185% in Turkey

Turkey will enter the top three leading countries for the production of olive oil in the near future.

The pace of its manufacture, as well as export supplies, literally grow every year. So, in 2017, olive oil was sold 185% more (53 thousand tons) than 2016.

According to the Head of the Association of Vegetable Oil Producers of Turkey, Tahir Buyukhelvaci, such indicators show that Turkish olive oil will also be popular and in demand abroad soon, as well as other agricultural products.

At the moment, Turkish olive oil is sold to 140 countries. The most active buyers are from Europe, the Middle East, and the United States.
