BTK won’t just carry cargoes!

The new Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway (BTK) is functioning successfully: now it carries out international cargo transportation on a regular basis. And this is the first stage of the work BTK.

The second stage will be the transportation of passengers. According to the chairman of the Azerbaijan Railways (AJD), Javid Gurbanov, the first passenger trains will pass by the new railway at the beginning of this summer.

“Now we are solving technical issues. But everything is done promptly, so soon we will transport passengers along BTK,” Gurbanov mentioned.
