"Arif-216" - the most popular movie of January in Turkey

More than 15.5 million people visited the cinemas in January in Turkey. Attendance exceeded by almost 30% compared to the same period last year.

The most popular movie was the comedy movie from the Turkish director Cem Yilmaz “Arif-216”, narrating about the adventures of a trader and a robot who wanted to become a man. The movie was watched by 4.8 million people.

The movie “Deliha” took the second place and “In the Family Circle” took the third place in popularity. In general, 77% of viewers chose Turkish movies to watch.

Also, the most popular among foreign movies was the American thriller “The Maze Runner: Death Cure.”
