Antalya Airport will change for the holiday season

A number of innovations and changes awaits Antalya’s International Airport in the new holiday season.

So, there will be 12 new scanners for inspection of baggage and passengers, due to which the passport control will be much faster. Another innovation is the system of automatic face recognition. More than two dozen devices that detect narcotic and explosive substances will be put into operation. In addition, it is planned to involve more people – in peak season, on passenger screening, almost half a thousand border guards will take place.

The number of baggage belts will increase from 58 to 72.

By the summer season, the airport will repair the room for mother and child, as well as toilets. All employees of the airport will be instructed, each of them will be able to answer any question from passengers.

Thanks to the above measures, it is expected that the problem of queues at the airport will be decided – the air harbor will be able to serve up to 12,000 passengers.

The planned payment for all the works is about 20,000 Euros.
